Bridge      A part of the range where resonation shifts from one area of the body to the next. It is especially difficult to negotiate the amount of air and muscle required for the vocal cords to adjust smoothly while staying adducted through the bridges. Most men experience about three bridges while women may have as many as five or six. The first bridge is the most dramatic for both men and women.
