The Making of "If You Believe"

It started in early 1996 when Dave Stroud was looking at producing an album to help promote his students and the "Speech level Singing" technique. He wanted to produce an album with a group concept. Some type of Adult contemporary "We are the world". He did not find the song he was looking for but he would not let that stop him. He produced his first album in 97 entitled "Vocal Sampler 97".
In 1998, he released another album entitled "Vocal Sampler 98 ". Even though he still had not found the song he was looking for he did not give up on his quest for a group song. Later that year he finally found that song he had been searching for all this time. This song written by Sal Dakota, Naranda Michael Walden and Tony Lindsay was perfect for the group concept he had in mind.
The wheels were then set in motion. The Northern California Songwriters Association (NCSA) to whom this was a benefit project for was contacted. They offered as much assistance as they could. They also put us in contact with other people who could help.
