Dave Stroud is more than just another voice teacher. Over the last 25 years he has not only learned to analyze voices and quickly get them balanced and functioning easily, but he has developed skills on multiple levels that help accelerate vocalists towards their goals.
In 1995 he began working on developing a certification program for teachers of singing He currently is CEO of Speech Level Singing and runs an impressive operation with hundreds of voice teachers worldwide within this program. Using the business skills he developed as a young entrepreneur while at university, he opened a very successful night club which was in operation for almost 20 years. A few years later he began printing and distributing a vocal magazine called "connecting voices". These business ventures helped him see the professional side of developing singers not only as artists, but also as brands to truly succeed in the commercial world.
Now, production companies, producers, managers and studios use him to help get artists ready for market, as well as Record Labels to augment the A&R process with their artists. Recently, after giving Justin Timberlake a lesson, Justin had him begin working with all the artists on Tennman Records (Justin's label with Interscope) which include(S) YouTube stars Esmee' Denters, Brenda, and Elliot from Freesoul. Interscope then had him begin development with a new Group called "Hemphill Kids", an impressive family group of 5 kids, in the style of The Jacksons.
Most recently, Dave's adventures have put him on the road working with American Idol top 10, Adam Lambert and Allison Iraheta and home in LA working with lead singer Scott Stapp from CREED, the very talented actress from the movie Akeelah and the Bee KeKe Palmer , and TOPOL for the tour of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.
Over the years many stars and productions have come to Dave to have him evaluate their voices and get them on track for all the demands of working in this business.
